How Courage can Accelerate your Manifestations
So What is the Law of attraction
This blog talks a lot about the intersection between the practical advice of traditional self-help productivity genres, with the 12 universal spiritual laws found in hermetic philosophy. Specifically in this post, it will explore “The Law of Attraction” which has gained much traction amongst several ‘new age’ spirituality leaders, and more recently throughout the general public. This was made possible by several authors building reputable brands (with the use of social media) around how they used the law of attraction to manifest wonderful change in their lives. Some of which include; Jordanna Levies’s book: Make it happen and Roxie Nafousi’s books: Manifest and Manifest Dive deeper (which I will be reviewing on this blog so stay tuned!
Law of Attraction in Daily Life
So, the law of attraction states that whatever we focus and believe in strongly, when matched with action, will undoubtedly, eventually, come to fruition. This doesn’t have to be a conscious effort, in fact we are constantly manifesting all kinds of things, moment by moment based on the thoughts we have. For example, say we don’t get enough sleep, wake up with a headache and have a long day and early morning plans. If we continue the day with the momentum from those negative, tired grumpy feelings (which is totally normal if you don’t know otherwise! ) the rest of the day will follow with the same trajectory. This is because as Newton famously put it, ‘an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by another unbalanced force’. Therefore, you will undoubtedly have what many may call ‘just a bad/ unlucky day’. However, you could totally turn this around using law of attraction! simply by deciding, you know what, even though i’ve had a weird start, I know that the law of attraction means that my thoughts dictate my reality and so whatever I focus my thoughts and energy on will manifest. So it is paramount that you alter the momentum of your energy and believe that the rest of the day will not follow that same path. This allows us to go out in the world and look for opportunity and joy, making it inevitable that we’ll find it .
Concept of Courage in Law of Attraction
This concept is all well and good, however, I know first-hand how hard it can be to alter the momentum of feelings and beliefs which have been ingrained in yourself for years. This is why emphasis on the practice of courage when discussing the law of attraction is crucial to supporting your belief and altering the momentum to create real change in your life. Courage is essentially the act of feeling all of the fear, inadequacy and anxiety, yet following through to do the thing anyway. It is choosing to ignore all the voices in your head telling you not to go for the big thing, have that conversation or go for that walk. Although the acts of courage needed may look different for each of us, consistency is number 1 for making this work. Through consistent use of what I like to call our courage muscle (see how to build your courage muscle for more detail), we can begin to challenge our outdated stagnant beliefs about who we are, and what is available to us in order to choose new empowering beliefs necessary to achieve our goals.
Why Practicing Courage and Law of attraction =Perfect Match
You see, the power in combining courage with the law of attraction is that they fit so perfectly together. For example when the results of exercising your courage muscle take a little longer to be seen- take battling social anxiety. Due to the thought patterns being so cemented, this may take repeated acts of courage such as; going out, interacting with people, eating out alone or generally putting yourself in what may seem now as uncomfortable social situations. This however can sometimes leave us feeling defeated and exhausted afterwards. The reason that the law of attraction works so well in conjunction with courage, is that during those times where it seems that nothing is happening even though we’re doing all the work, it somehow leaves a glimmer of hope that we are supported by the universe. So much so that the end goal is alway a possibility, therefore quitting no longer becomes an option. Law of attraction states that like attracts like, so as long as one continues to push or forward however slowly or messily success is guaranteed!
This concept works vice versa too, because when one relies too heavily on the law of attraction, it can often lead to the belief that you are owed immediate results from the universe, and hence get frustrated that it hasn’t happened yet. However, when the practice of courage is introduced it provides actual trackable evidence of the work we are pouring in, hence allowing progress to be tracked, seen and appreciated. This positive encouragement continues to push you further out of your comfort zone and entertain the idea that more is possible for you, whilst simultaneously propelling you forward to achieve it. This combination is so powerful in instilling a deep knowing that maybe not today, tomorrow or next week, but someday soon enough this reality is yours for the taking.
